Flowers At Worship

Our form of worship is traditional but offered in a fresh and engaging style. We use a variety of liturgical elements from week to week. Huffman Memorial U.M.C. is blessed with several inspired worship leaders and they each contribute to the meaning and impact of the worship service.

Our music department is extremely talented. It not surprising then that every worship service is filled with glorious music to praise God and inspire the congregation. The adult Chancel Choir, two adult bell choirs, a children's bell choir, and several very dynamic soloists, provide us with music which can only be described as outstanding.

Children & Worship:
Both the 8:30 and 10:45 worship services include "Children's Message" which is led by one of our church members.
Worship education is offered to the children to teach them the importance of worship and meaning of the things we do in church. This prepares them to   experience the full richness of worship and participate more fully in the service.
Our Acolyte Program also provides our older children an opportunity to learn more about the heart of worship as they participate in the Sunday services.
Holy Communion:
We celebrate the Eucharist on the first Sunday of each month. In the United Methodist Church the Lord's Table is open to all believers regardless of denominational preference or affiliation. Anyone who seeks to know Jesus Christ is welcome at His table and in our church's celebration of this beautiful sacrament.
Our form and liturgy for celebrating Holy Communion generally comes from the ritual in the United Methodist Hymnal. However, we frequently use other forms and liturgies which help to bring new meaning to the sacrament.
Childcare:
Our nursery is open for both Sunday morning worship services as well as during the Sunday School hour.
Alternative Worship:
On September 11, 2005 we began offering an Alternative Worship service in the gymnasium of our Enrichment Center on Sunday evenings at 5:30. This worship service, contemporary in style, is a comfortable environment for those who are new to the faith or who are seeking a way to reconnect with God. A variety of music will be used as well as skits from our drama team.
