When she joined the staff at Huffman, Linda had plenty of experience with children and Day Care work. She was a teacher for a church day care for 5 years before stepping out and opening up her own day care facility.

Linda did so well running her own center that in just seven years she was able to open a second day care center. After surviving a serious boating accident and almost losing her life, Linda sold her day care business and decided to pursue other opportunities.

However, her love of children led her back to another church day care where she taught for three years. Then in 2000 she accepted the challenge of developing a vital and well organized Day Care as an outreach ministry at our Huffman Memorial United Methodist Church.

In spite of the demanding hours of directing and teaching in day care centers, Linda has continued her education as a part-time student. She holds an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a certificate in Child Growth & Development and is now nearing completion of her Bachelor Degree.

Linda has been married to Ralph Roach for 37 years. They have three grown children, Ralph Jr. 36, Sherena 35, and Darby 30. These days they are raising two grandchildren, Stormie 8 and Allen 6 along with one dog, SheShe. They have 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
